Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Junior Cloud Consultant based in Shah Alam, with flexibility for some remote work. The Junior Cloud Consultant will assist in providing Cloud Infrastructure consultation, supporting solution architecture, participating in cloud infra projects, and DevSecOps, Automation areas. The role also involves collaborating with senior consultants to deliver tailored and efficient IT solutions that meet client needs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and/or asssit small-scale definition and design of Virtualization products (i.e. VMware vSphere) following through to installation, configuration, testing, and project management
- Lead and/or assist (depending on the level of experience) the development of network architecture blueprints, design specifications, business continuance and operational best practices guidelines based on detailed business and technical requirements gathered
- Provide technical leadership and/or assistance to the Professional Services consulting project team, which will include project work at customer site
- Maintain current knowledge of multiple areas of hypervisor, OS and container-based solutions and platform
- Participate in the pre-sales process to understand customer business and technical objectives and product requirements, in order to develop effective solutions. Ensure that techno-commercial proposals are scoped well, technically sound and are addressing customer business issues
- Establish and maintain technical credibility within the company through demonstration of thought leadership, including:
- Leading and delivering technical enablement and technical labs during company events
- Regular participation in technical discussions (e.g. company consulting / technical discussions)
- Presentation at customer and partner opportunities, training sessions and venues
- Active and regular participation in knowledge management
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Eng. / Sc. Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Technical Training field (i.e. Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.)
- Basic to intermediate understanding of cloud infrastructure (i.e. virtual infrastructure implementation and configuration), with demonstrated know-how in related infrastructure areas (e.g. network, storage, backup, DR, security etc.)
- At least 1-3 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.; Fresh graduates with good personality and attitude will be considered
- Possess infrastructure virtualization knowledge and hands-on skill such as:
- Server virtualization implementation and configuration
- Workload migration
- Integration to infrastructure services components (e.g. AD, DNS, NTP etc.) and other core infrastructure components (e.g. network, storage, backup, DR, security etc.)
- Good understanding of Networking & Security, Linux and Powershell coding, is an added advantage.
- Good attitude with keen interest in continuous learning, especially in Cloud infrastructure solutioning
- Good written, communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English
