About the Role

We are a fast-growing company in the hemato-oncology space, seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Research Trainee to join our team in Malaysia, India, or the Philippines. This role is an excellent opportunity for life sciences graduates who are fluent in English and passionate about clinical research, data analytics, and the pharmaceutical industry.

As a Data Research Trainee, you will play a key role in supporting our oncology medical affairs team by curating, translating, and interpreting scientific and clinical data. You will gain valuable exposure to drug development pipelines, clinical trials, and R&D strategies within the oncology and hematology fields.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct online and database research on oncology-related developments.
  • Support business analysts by curating and structuring data across medical, scientific, regulatory, and market access domains.
  • Handle ad-hoc information queries related to datasets, publications, and market intelligence.
  • Maintain and update trackers and reports on drug pipelines, clinical trial statuses, regulatory news, and scientific publications.
  • Assist with data entry, verification, and quality control for internal databases and dashboards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across different time zones.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Language Proficiency

  • Fluent in English, especially strong reading and writing skills.

Education

  • Degree or current enrolment in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences, or related fields.

Experience

  • 0-2 years of internship, academic research, or industry experience (market research, pharmaceutical, or consulting sectors are an advantage).

Knowledge Base

  • Basic understanding of clinical trials, drug development processes, and regulatory frameworks.

Technical Skills

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, scientific databases, or clinical trial registries is an added advantage.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Work Style

  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and adaptable to a wide range of research tasks.
