Description:
We are seeking a Junior Developer with 3-5 years of experience in DevOps for RPG/COBOL development to join our Core Banking team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with AS400/DB2 server and possess knowledge of RPG or COBOL 400 programming language. The candidate should also have exposure to DevOps practices, including AS400 application onboarding to DevOps and CI/CD experience. Knowledge of ALDON and ARCAD will be considered a plus.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Develop and maintain RPG or COBOL 400 applications within the Core Banking domain.
Implement and manage DevOps practices for application deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
Work with AS400/DB2 server to retrieve and manipulate data as required by the applications.
Participate in the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines to automate software build, testing, and deployment processes.
Ensure the security, scalability, and performance of the applications in the DevOps environment.
Assist in the onboarding of AS400 applications to the DevOps platform.
Collaborate with team members to continuously improve the DevOps process and implement best practices.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to DevOps and RPG/COBOL development.
Adhere to coding standards and guidelines to ensure the quality and maintainability of the codebase.
Requirements:
3-5 years of experience in RPG or COBOL 400 development.
Strong knowledge of DevOps practices.
Familiarity with AS400/DB2 server and AS400 operating system.
Experience with AS400 application onboarding to DevOps is desirable.
Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools.
Good understanding of ALDON (automation of software deployment) and ARCAD.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
