Summary
To plan, organize, implement, and monitor all operational activities for projects secured, effectively and efficiently so as to ensure maximum (optimal) utilization of resources with the objective of meeting the customers project delivery schedules/deadlines and the Company's goals.
Responsibilities
- Liaise and update client's representative in all project activities and ensure they are properly recorded;
- Ensure the shipping instruction issued by the client is correct and accurate before executing the shipment;
- Initiate shipment import/export (FCL/LCL/CV/AIR/SEA), coordinate, open job and filing;
- Check for special instructions on delivery as instructed by the client;
- Handover file to the operation team for operational work to commence from load port, point of collection or depending on client's delivery or shipping terms;
- Check on shipping documentation required for clearance (if clearance is part of the scope) including its accuracy;
- Attend pre-discharge/project meetings as instructed by the client/port;
- Ensure tax exemption/bank guarantee is applied to the relevant authorities before cargo importation/exportation;
- To submit or assist on the COA/SIRIM/MAQIS/Suruhanjaya Tenaga/tax exemption application;
- Prepare a reconciliation report on all project importation and exportation, if any prior ends of project;
- Ensure all job files are billed on time and properly closed weekly and monthly;
- To ensure documents are complete to hand over to billing department;
- Update Sysfreight system (POD, extra info, event log, upload docs, etc.);
- To work up and collect payment from contractor or vendor (cash customer) once received complete quotation and docs from sales team;
- To build up and maintain rapport, to coordinate, and to perform before or after sales support in order to contribute to company revenue;
- Inform client immediately in the event of an accident or mishap;
- Prepare necessary reports to client's rep as required by project on timely basis (daily/weekly/monthly);
- Ensure that health, safety and environment are complied with and adhered to strictly;
- Special assignment assigned by immediate superior.
Qualifications
- Degree/Diploma/Professional Certificate in Logistics/ Business Management, Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia or equivalent
- 1 - 2 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or any related field
- Computer literate/ analytical skills/ interpersonal skills/ business communication skills
