Job Title: Junior Full Stack Developer

Salary: RM9,000 per month

Contract Duration: 12 months (renewable based on performance)

Eligibility: Malaysians ONLY – or foreigners already holding a valid Malaysian work visa (e.g., spouse visa, existing employment pass from another company). No new EP applications will be processed.

About the Role

We are looking for a Junior Full Stack Developer to join an agile engineering team working on a high-impact digital product. You will be building scalable, secure, and testable applications using modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystems.

This role is fully hands-on, you will write production-grade code, contribute to architecture decisions, and work closely with the client's technical team in Kuala Lumpur.

1. Experience Level

• Minimum 2–3 years of professional experience with the above skillsets.
• At least 1–2 years in TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js, and AWS.
• At least 6 months of hands-on experience in testing (Jest / Vitest + Playwright / Cypress).

️ Candidates without experience in any of the core skillsets will likely fail the client's coding assessment.

2. Location & Work Setup

• Based in Kuala Lumpur (hybrid or remote within KL – to be confirmed with client).
• Must be able to attend occasional in-person meetings or sprint events in KL.

4. Visa Policy (Strict)

• Malaysian citizens only – OR
• Foreigners with an existing, valid Malaysian visa (no EP processing or visa transfers).
• No new Employment Pass (EP) applications will be entertained.

Coding Assessment – Important Note from Hiring Manager

*All shortlisted candidates must go through a coding assessment that strictly covers TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js, GraphQL, AWS basics, and testing (unit + E2E).*

If a candidate lacks experience in any of these areas, they will not pass the client's assessment – even if they pass our internal screening.

The only compromise I can make:

Minimum 1–2 years in the technical stack

At least 6 months in testing (Jest or Cypress)*

This is not negotiable – our team working directly with the client confirms these skills are expected from day one.
