Junior Operations Analyst (6-months contract)

Responsibilities:

• Assist in processing corporate action events for both local and global markets accurately and in a timely manner.
• Support the submission of client instructions to Share Registrar or Custodian within the given deadlines.
• Communicate with Share Registrar or relevant parties on corporate action matters when required.
• Monitor announcements from Bursa Malaysia and US markets to keep updated on corporate actions.
• Assist in verifying and processing dividends, interests, and other corporate events.
• Help coordinate pre-matching for share transfers and follow up with involved parties.
• Support daily settlement operations for local and international markets, focusing on equities and other financial products.
• Assist in maintaining operational controls using internal systems and tools.
• Participate in system testing (UAT) and provide feedback for improvements or updates.
• Assist in preparing regulatory reports and ensuring timely submission.
• Carry out other ad-hoc tasks or projects as assigned by the team lead/manager

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance, Business, or related fields.
• Some working experience or internship in the financial or stockbroking industry is an advantage, but fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Basic understanding of Bursa Malaysia, capital market operations, or corporate actions is a plus.
• Good command of English and Malay; proficiency in Chinese is an added advantage.
• A fast learner, responsible, and detail-oriented team player with strong time management skills.
