Role overview:
The Producer will be a pivotal member of our team, responsible for the end-to-end production of high-quality video content. This role requires a blend of creative vision, strong leadership, technical expertise, and excellent client communication skills. You will guide our production efforts and contribute strategically by analysing performance and championing new approaches.
Responsibilities:
- Lead all aspects of video production, from initial concept to final delivery.
- Source story ideas and interviewees to turn real student voices into visual storytelling.
- Lead story development and story edits, ensuring compelling narratives across all video formats.
- Manage production workflows, including assigning projects, providing feedback, and guiding creative execution.
- Support and guide script writing and visual approaches for effective short form video 6. Oversee production across multiple projects
- Write scripts, interviews and shoot as needed.
- Champion innovation in video production and editorial strategies.
- Use analytics to assess video traffic and engagement, deriving insights for continuous improvement.
- Analyse traffic and engagement to continuously refine video strategy and workflow with the support of Content Leads and Editors.
- Present video concepts and strategies to clients, effectively communicating creative vision and project scope.
Basic requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Film, Video Production, Communications, or a related field.
- 2+ years producing videos.
- Proven track record of managing video projects from concept to completion.
- Broad and in depth experience in agencies or news organisations.
- Proficiency in professional video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and familiarity with motion graphics (e.g., Adobe After Effects).
- Strong understanding of camera operation, lighting, audio recording, and other technical aspects of video production.
- Experience in analysing video analytics and using data to inform creative decisions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly to both internal teams and external clients.
