The primary purpose of the job is to process the Certification Packages required to ship Grayloc products to customers. Additional activities include the examination and filing of process reports and conduct of document control activity related to specific customer orders.

The Junior Quality Engineer will provide support to the business unit by implementing the Oceaneering quality management system & related tools/processes to accelerate business results, reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), and improve on time delivery.

Essentials-

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and process Certificates of Conformance and associated certificate packages.
  • Provides customer service for the preparation/issuance of reports, and other documents as required
  • Prepares, releases control and distributes all customer data book deliverables
  • Examine received reports against stated criteria and file according to procedure
  • Respond to customer feedback on certification package issues and resolve
  • Interact with web-based databases and operations portals to upload and download critical documentation
  • Setup and maintain an appropriate document control process to track documentation throughout the product or service lifecycle in order to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Recommends and assists in the establishment of uniform procedures and practices
  • Define / identity, record, track and inform the Quality process the following:
  • Non conformances, in document control (compliance deviation on requirements, customer transmittal etc)
  • COPQ
  • Maintain the QMS system by reviewing, verifying, approving, and developing or facilitating the development of procedures, as necessary.
  • Support the organization's drive towards excellence in Health and Safety performance
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of our Customer quality requirements.
  • Facilitate or support internal and external Quality audits.
  • Compile and maintain detailed client specific Product Inspection & Test Plans.
  • Utilize the SmartSolve Quality Management System to manage the fundamentals of quality assurance program.
  • Support the customer satisfaction and loyalty processes.
  • Support the organization's drive towards excellence in Health and Safety performance.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This position has NO direct supervisory responsibilities.

Reporting Relationship

  • This position will report to the Snr Quality Manager EH

Required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 0-2 years of experience in Quality Engineering/Continuous Improvement with demonstrable evidence of systems and process improvement

DESIRED

  • Quality-related coursework or projects
  • Proficiency with common office productivity software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Training or certification in ISO 9001 standard
  • Training or working knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean methodologies

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, And Other Characteristics

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of professionals
