We're looking for a passionate and experienced Junior Robotics Engineer to join our growing R&D and product commercialisation team. This role will focus on end-to-end AGV development, from design and prototyping to deployment and market launch. You will play a key role not just in engineering, but in ensuring the AGV is ready for real-world applications and commercial success.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Involved in the design, development, and integration of AGV systems, including hardware, software, and sensor fusion.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams in mechanical design, electronics, software, and marketing for product launch and commercialisation.
- Build and test AGV prototypes; refine based on real-world testing and user feedback.
- Develop and optimise navigation, path planning, and obstacle avoidance algorithms.
- Ensure compliance with industry and safety standards for AGV deployment. Support manufacturing teams for mass production readiness.
- Provide technical documentation and support for product demonstrations and client onboarding.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or related fields.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in AGV or robotics product development, with hands-on experience through the entire product lifecycle.
- Proven involvement in product commercialisation, not just R&D.
- Strong knowledge in ROS (Robot Operating System), SLAM, sensor integration (LIDAR, GPS, IMU), and embedded systems.
- Proficient in C++, Python, and control system design.
- Experience in industrial automation or warehouse robotics is a strong advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
