We are seeking motivated junior IT professionals with 14 years of experience in software engineering to join our Hire to Train (H2T) Program in Malaysia. This structured 6-month program is designed to develop Full-Stack Engineers (FSE) through a blend of mentor-led learning, self-study, and real-world project assignments.
The ideal candidate is eager to learn, has hands-on software delivery experience (Java, SQL/NoSQL, JavaScript), and demonstrates strong problem-solving skills. Successful completion of the program will lead to a permanent role as a Software Engineer at EPAM.
Responsibilities
- Participate in a structured 6-month training and mentoring program, including self-study and guided coursework
- Develop applications using Java/Spring
- Engage in real-world project assignments and deliver a final capstone project
- Collaborate with mentors and peers to set expectations, track progress, and review performance
- Apply software engineering best practices, including coding standards, testing and version control
- Work in an Agile and collaborative environment, contributing to project discussions and solutioning
- Demonstrate continuous improvement and commitment to building a career as a Full-Stack Engineer
Requirements
- 14 years of professional experience in a software engineering role
- Hands-on development experience with Java (8 version & above) / Spring
- A strong learning mindset, curiosity and ability to self-study
- Good problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Solid understanding of secure coding, data protection and access control mechanisms
- Comfortable working in Agile and DevOps-centric environments
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Nice to have
- Exposure to cloud platforms
- Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases
- Experience in JavaScript
