We are seeking a Junior or Mid-Level Systems Administrator to support both IT and OT infrastructure in a manufacturing environment. This role is critical to maintaining uptime, security, and performance across production systems and enterprise infrastructure. This role will be working on-site five (5) days from our Sugar Land, TX office.
Key Responsibilities
System Administration
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows/Linux servers
- Perform system monitoring and daily health checks
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies
- Patch systems and ensure OS/software updates
- Manage file servers, print servers, and shared resources
Network Support
- Provide L2/L3 support for LAN/WAN infrastructure
- Support plant-level wired/wireless networks and IP schema
- Troubleshoot issues between IT and OT environments
Manufacturing-Specific IT Support
- Support shop floor systems (WMS, SCADA, HMIs)
- Interface with OT staff for patching and access control
- Ensure uptime of systems critical to production
Security & Compliance
- Enforce endpoint protection and cybersecurity hygiene
- Monitor user access, perform audits, and support compliance (NIST, ISO 27001, CMMC)
- Ensure backup and disaster recovery processes are followed
User Support & Training
- Provide Level 2/3 support for infrastructure and server issues
- Assist users with access, permissions, and hardware
- Train users on IT policies and safe practices
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain documentation for systems, licenses, and recovery plans
- Track hardware/software inventories
- Assist in creating SOPs for IT system usage and compliance
Required Qualifications
Education
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- Equivalent work experience may substitute for formal education
Experience
- Junior Level: 13 years in IT support or sysadmin roles
- Mid-Level: 36 years in infrastructure/system administration
Technical Skills
- Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory
- Microsoft 365 administration
- Basic scripting (PowerShell, Bash)
- Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, Firewalls)
- Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Exposure to OT systems or MES is a plus

- Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
- Cisco CCNA
- CompTIA Security+
- CMMC or NIST 800-171 awareness
