Juniper Network Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• On-site Network Hardware Support: Perform hardware changes, including physical replacement and installation of network devices, connecting USB media, and organizing fibre/copper cables in preparation for planned activities.
• Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and resolve issues encountered during change implementation involving existing hardware and consoles, ensuring minimal operational disruption.
• Console Setup: Establish console connections as required during planned maintenance or change activities.

Planned Hardware Activities:

• Switch replacement
• Routing Engine & Control Board replacement
• MPC (Line Card) replacement
• Strong understanding of network devices and their components, including fibre and copper cabling.
• Hands-on experience with Juniper routers (MX-series) and Juniper switches (EX-series).
• Ability to perform on-site hardware support, installation, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with console setup and replacement activities for network hardware components.
