The Associate Director - Transfer Pricing plays a senior leadership role within the Global Delivery model, supporting KDN engagements globally. The role requires deep technical expertise in transfer pricing, strong people leadership capability, experience managing large teams, and the ability to drive process improvement and technology-led delivery while maintaining the highest quality and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

Base Expectations: - Lead global delivery of transfer pricing documentation using technology-enabled tools. - Demonstrate advanced understanding of transfer pricing principles and guide teams in applying these concepts to client engagements. - Manage multiple concurrent engagements and competing priorities across the practice. - Utilize applications, databases, and technology tools extensively to deliver efficient and standardized outputs. - Drive standardization of services and continuous improvement of operational efficiencies. - Lead and manage large and diverse teams of approximately 15 or more professionals experience with Global Delivery Centers is preferred. - Communicate effectively with leadership and stakeholders, presenting findings and clearly conveying objectives to team members. Practice Management & Leadership: - Manage, support, and participate in global transfer pricing compliance engagements on a global scale. - Assist in managing engagement economics including staffing, fee tracking, and issue escalation. - Maintain awareness of the overall engagement big picture to ensure delivery alignment. - Identify opportunities to expand business offerings and collaborate with other KPMG practices. - Build and maintain strong internal relationships across the global transfer pricing practice and other KDN Global Delivery Centers. - Contribute to team goal achievement and help define team structures, including remote teams outside India. - Design and implement process optimization initiatives and identify opportunities for technology solutions. - Identify knowledge gaps and implement strategies to address them, keeping teams current on methodologies, tools, and technologies. - Develop, mentor, and supervise Analysts, Seniors, Assistant Managers, and Managers. - Conduct performance reviews and provide structured performance feedback. - Partner with sub-service line leaders and Learning & Development teams to address learning gaps. - Foster collaboration, inclusion, and constructive communication within teams. - Own team scheduling and utilization planning, proactively seeking work to meet utilization targets. - Contribute to people initiatives including recruiting, retention, training, and work allocation strategies. - Pursue continuous personal and professional development through learning, coaching, and mentoring. - Ensure consistent adherence to practice protocols and internal processes. Preferred Technical & Functional Skills: - Strong communication skills with inclusive behavior toward internal and external stakeholders. - Process-focused mindset with ability to align teams to consistent ways of working. - Proven ability to motivate others and manage complex team dynamics. - Strong technical and analytical capabilities to deliver high-quality outputs efficiently. - High aptitude for learning, adopting, and promoting new technologies.

Requirements

Educational Qualifications: - Master's degree in any discipline or advanced degree in economics, law, finance, tax, or accounting. - CPA or similar professional certification preferred. - Additional qualifications in International Taxation, Financial Instruments Markets, or Quantitative Finance are an added advantage. Work Experience: - Minimum of 10 years of transfer pricing or related experience with exposure to complex transfer pricing concepts. - Strong managerial, organizational, project management, analytical, and communication skills. - Fluency in English.
