Your Opportunity
A fundamental role within the Kering Group, focused on executing Transportation and Logistics support and representation for the Group and our Houses with a dedicated focus on Customs and Trade Compliance. Functionally based in Malaysia, the role covers geographies across Southeast Asia: Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand, Philippines, India, Guam, Indonesia.
As the Supply Chain & Logistics Specialist, you ensure our flows and processes are compliant with any applicable laws and regulations imposed by local governments by providing information, advice and guidance on transportation and trade compliance matters, on all type of Fashion & Jewelry Goods; Total Compliance.
You will succeed by providing efficient shipments handling and coordinating, formalizing standard operating procedures, reporting and insights sharing to drive timely delivery of all our products to support the profitability.
You will communicate with, develop, and maintain positive relationships with both external and internal cross functional partners through report interpretation and tools.
How you will contribute
Specific Focus on Customs and Trade Compliance
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of supply chain activities, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Manage all temporary shipments (TIB / Carnets)
- Manage all CITES shipments
- Maintain a close relationship and deal with Brokers & Carriers for the day-to-day activities.
- Carry on Regulatory surveillance for all commodities across countries.
- Coordinate cross-functional meetings to discuss planning updates, challenges, and opportunities, encouraging collaboration among teams to achieve shared goals:
- With internal stakeholders: to identify opportunities and enhance processes for import & export compliance in order to support more effective customer demand fulfilment.
- With Kering's headquarters brands, freight forwarders, customs brokers, retail operations, destination customs and other governmental agencies to ensure destination trade compliance requirements are satisfied across all product categories for all countries in the region.
- Advise the regional organization on opportunities to leverage FTA's, preferential duty schemes and other trade opportunities in the region
General
- Responsible for executing end-to-end transport management activities.
- Taking initiative to identify risk and opportunities.
- Access and leverage data and reporting to support, improve and maintain Transportation performance and communicate delivery visibility to internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor key KPI's and escalate risks, opportunities, and recommendations.
- Proactively track deliveries and returns activities.
- Provide visibility and respond to questions regarding Transportation status and tracking information.
- Execute and communicate standard and ad hoc reports to support execution.
- Drive day-to-day problem-solving activities to resolve issues as required.
- Communicate with key stakeholders on existing processes / capabilities.
- Liaise with Kering retail teams in the different markets to ensure inbound shipment processes are planned and executed to meet quality and delivery expectations.
- Coordinate with brand retail ops, visual merchandising, and store planning on new store openings, seasonal launches, and special projects to ensure on-time delivery.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze and recommend Transportation plan, to optimize Transportation efficiency.
- Monitor and report on supply chain performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to mitigate supply chain disruptions.
- Develop and maintain a process for executing and providing visibility to for all sample, visual merchandise and non-stock shipments for retail in SEAO.
- Provide peer mentorship and training.
Who you are
- Bachelor of Science degree in Logistics, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or related discipline.
- 2-4 years experience in retail supply chain, third party logistics, customs brokerage or trade consultancy.
- Background on Trade and Compliance activities in South-East Asia countries, knowledge of customs requirements for import & export activities.
- Experience in a multi-national environment highly desired, working with stakeholders from different functions, locations and time zones
- Proficient with Microsoft office, outlook and teams
- Able to work independently, as well as with multiple departments and stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Proven attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, to deal with ambiguity or uncertainty and to act as an agent of change and improvement
