About the role

The incumbent is expected play a strategic role in identifying and managing high impact opportunities within the assigned portfolio in designated territory to meet / exceed sales targets.

Your ability to shape sales strategies and initiatives to lead the sales process, drive account conversions and develop key relationships will be crucial to the success of this role.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage highly profitable businesses and achieve targets for sales, growth, and market share for assigned key accounts (KA) in designated territories / countries/ markets.
  • Execute call visits to existing and prospective customers to detail Novugen's brands, identifying the right target audience that could be of benefit to patients and discuss on studies that support on the prescription of brands.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and demonstrations tailored to the needs and preferences of clients. Lead strategy development and execute dedicated action plan for assigned KAs, including preparation and negotiation of contracts (i.e. tier bonus, pricing, promotion, tenders etc.)
  • Analyse and report on market dynamics and trends including competitive intelligence activities on KAs and key competitors. Identify and capitalize on upselling and cross-selling opportunities within KAs to achieve revenue targets.
  • Organize events (i.e. CMEs, round table discussion, plant visits, etc.) and other programs (i.e. patients workshop) independently or with marketing / medical / corporate department in line with KA action plan. Support on booth duty during local conferences.
  • Champion listing of products in KA and maintain long lasting business relations with key opinion leaders, decision makers and stakeholders within designated territories / countries / markets. These include but not limited to hospital administrators, department heads, and procurement managers. Serve as the primary point of contact for all sales-related inquiries, requests, and issues.
  • Contribute to mapping of stakeholders, including segmentation and profiling of KA / medical experts.
  • Collaborate with Commercial Operations as well as cross functional teams to deliver customized solutions to KAs. Provide feedback and insights from the field to support product enhancement and service improvement initiatives.
  • Input into trackers that are required by business, including samples, patient education materials, enlistment progress updates, activity planning, etc.
  • Prepare regular reports and track key account performance, sales plans, revenue forecasts, and market insights. Prioritize and review daily sales activities performed.
  • Monitor client net promoter score / satisfaction surveys and proactively address any complaints to ensure long-term account retention.

Job Requirements:

  • Must possess a degree in the field of Business / Marketing or any science discipline. An MBA would be considered a vital asset.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant key account management experience, preferably in a multinational pharmaceutical or healthcare company.
  • Experience in private hospital, government tender management and hybrid sales are advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Versatile and resilient, ability to stay positive in high-pressure and ambiguous environments and work towards delivering results.
  • Proficient in using Sales CRM systems and tools such as SalesForce.com, Veeva, IQVIA, PowerBI, Tableu etc is an advantage
  • Willing to travel extensively within Malaysia.
