Role Overview

As a Key Account, you will take charge of strategic account planning, sales growth, and retail execution across key offline channels. You will manage relationships with major retail partners and distributors, ensuring the achievement of sales targets, visibility standards, and trade marketing effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Account Management

  • Execute commercial planning and execution for assigned key accounts across modern trade (MT) and/or general trade (GT) channels.
  • Negotiate trading terms, pricing, and joint business plans to secure long-term partnerships.

2. Sales Target & Performance Management

  • Develop and track sell-in and sell-out targets to drive revenue growth.
  • Monitor sales performance and inventory health, proposing interventions where necessary.

3. Retail Execution & Visibility

  • Work closely with merchandising and trade marketing teams to ensure strong in-store execution, visibility, and availability of products.
  • Identify new opportunities for in-store promotions and activations.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, and Demand Planning teams to ensure forecast accuracy, timely deliveries, and effective promotions.

5. Market & Competitor Analysis

  • Stay updated with retail market trends, competitor activities, and shopper behavior to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Provide feedback to internal teams for continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in key account management, sales, or trade marketing within FMCG, retail, or consumer goods industries.
  • Strong negotiation, commercial planning, and relationship management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple key accounts and deliver sales results.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with modern trade and general trade structures in the Malaysian market is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel locally as needed.
