KPMG in Malaysia's People & Learning function— known as People, Performance & Culture (PPC) and Learning & Development (L&D)—sits at the core of the firm's people strategy. The PPC arm drives talent acquisition, employer branding, engagement, and culture-building initiatives, while L&D equips our people with world‑class learning frameworks, technical capabilities, leadership development, and innovative career growth tools.

What can you expect

As a People & Learning intern, you will be placed into one of several specialization tracks based on your background and interest. Each track offers unique responsibilities and a rich learning experience.

Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding Track

  • Support end‑to‑end recruitment processes, from candidate sourcing and shortlisting to interview coordination and offer preparation.
  • Participate in campus recruitment, career fairs, and employer branding activities.
  • Coordinate orientation programmes for interns and new joiners.
  • Assist in internship exit processes and document filing.
  • Prepare hiring reports and PowerPoint presentations for stakeholders.

L&D – Coordination Team Track

  • Support the delivery of technical programs (Audit, Tax, Advisory), leadership development, business development programs, and virtual classroom sessions.
  • Coordinate program logistics, scheduling, materials, and backend support for facilitators.
  • Manage and update content in the Global Learning Management System (GLMS).
  • Prepare stakeholder reports, compliance summaries, and data analyses.
  • Work closely with L&D Managers on firmwide learning initiatives and projects.
  • Gain accreditation as a Virtual Classroom (VC) Producer for global learning events.

L&D – Student Affairs Track

  • Support firm-sponsored professional qualification programs and guide employees through policies, exemptions, registration, and exam coordination.
  • Manage student databases, analyze records, and prepare reports.
  • Liaise with tuition providers, colleges, and professional bodies.
  • Review and improve Student Affairs processes and handbooks.
  • Assist in HRD Corporation (HRDC) grant applications, claims, documentation, and levy reporting.
  • Participate in seminars, conferences, and student events.

L&D – Onboarding Team Track

  • Support the full cycle of onboarding programs to ensure a seamless experience for new joiners.
  • Coordinate onboarding logistics, schedules, materials and liaise with facilitator teams.
  • Support various technical and non‑technical learning programs across the firm.
  • Maintain learning pathways and program data in the GLMS.
  • Prepare reports and provide innovative solutions for program improvements.
  • Collaborate on global and regional L&D initiatives.

L&D – Automation Team Track

  • Work on automation‑focused projects within L&D to increase digital efficiency.
  • Develop dashboards and learning analytics using Power BI.
  • Create, troubleshoot and improve automated workflows using Microsoft Power Automate.
  • Support implementation of automation improvements across L&D processes.
  • Assist in day‑to‑day L&D operations and people-related projects.

Who We're Looking For:

  • Undergraduates who have completed at least two (2) years of their degree
  • Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Active in extracurricular activities with proven leadership traits.
  • Able to multitask, work independently, and meet deadlines.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills and a positive, professional attitude.
  • Minimum internship commitment of 3-6 months
