Laboratory Attendant

The incumbent is to carry out the day-to-day maintenance activities containing scientific apparatus, laboratory supplies/glassware and experimental practical/projects.

KEY RESULT AREAS / RESPONSIBILITIES
. Keeps assigned areas clean, sanitary and aseptic
. Dusting and wiping lab equipment, tables/workbenches, models and trolleys using rags.
. Scrubs shelves, racks, tables, work benches and sinks using cleaning solutions and brushes.
. Washing, rinsing, drying lab glassware and utensils.
. Rearranging of glassware and utensils at the designated cabinet/place after drying.
. Checking and refilling of soap dispenser, detergent/wash bottles and distilled water containers.
. To assist and perform other duties as and when required,

JOB SPECIFICATION
MINIMUM ACADEMIC / PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
PMR or SPM

RELATED EXPERIENCE
Preferably at least 3 years relevant working experience, preferably in an educational institution

. Ability to communicate comfortably with students and staff in a courteous and professional manner
. Ability to work with minimal supervision
. Possess a good command of English
