Oversee and manage the Medical Laboratory Services, in the most effective and efficient manner in order to yield excellent operational results, customer service delivery and stakeholders return.
Responsible for new business development and implementation of services related to these departments which are in line with hospital s business plan and strategic direction as well as in conformance to regulatory requirements.
Empower Manager/Assistant Manager in planning, organizing, monitoring, coordinating and overseeing the Laboratory activities. To be a mentor and coach for Manager/Assistant Manager.
Plan and lead laboratory team to implement and achieve departmental objectives and targets to support the hospital goals. Continuous development and improvement of departmental operations and services, to meet customers needs and maintain operational excellence.
Gain collaboration with multiple stakeholders to balance conflicting demands or requirements and engage commitment to common goals or objectives i.e. financial profitability, patient safety and clinical outcome.
Collaborate with other department operations, functions and individuals to rectify departmental level issues and enhance operational and service quality.
Keep track of changes in external environment e.g. Government new policies and/or health acts, professional practice standards and guidelines, clinical updates that may affect the practices or demand in resources within short notice.
Ensure high level of environmental safety standard for both staff inclusive pathologists and patients.
Job Requirement
Bachelor of Biomedical Science Degree or an equivalent in a relevant field, recognized by Malaysian Government.
10 years of working experience as a practicing medical lab scientist with 5 years of working experience at the management level at the healthcare setting.
Possess good management capabilities in rolling out new services and team leadership qualities, at the desired level of competence.
