Key Responsibilities
Improvement/Innovation
Support the development, maintenance, and improvement of measurement systems and procedures to ensure valid results.
Operational Compliance
Support the definition of procedures for each laboratory activity (measurement, instrument programming, test, calibration) and ensure compliance to external measurement standards and related GKN specific requirements.
Quality Inspection
Perform required inspection, instrument programming, test, or calibration according to the defined procedures.
Solutions Analysis
Identify and support the resolution of problems related to the material and/or manufacturing process.
Data Collection and Analysis
Support internal and external reports for product/process validation, material approval, and customer specific issues or requests. Retain appropriate documented information and test samples as evidence of the results.
Equipment Maintenance and Repair
Support the development, maintenance, and improvement of measurement systems and procedures to ensure valid results.
Audit Compliance
Provide measurement services and perform Product Audits to ensure compliance to product specification at all stages of manufacture.
Process Reporting
Support internal and external reports for product/process validation, material approval, and customer specific issues or requests. Retain appropriate documented information and test samples as evidence of the results.
Personal Capability Building
Support laboratory continuous improvement activities in physical and/or metallurgical measurements of materials, components, and assemblies.

Education
Certificate or Diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, Quality Management, or related technical field
SPM/SPMV with relevant technical certificate and hands ‑ on quality experience may be considered
Experience
Able to work in fast-paced environment and meet the deadlines.
Experienced practitioner able to work unsupervised (13 months to 3 years)
Experienced with tools/gauges management activities.
Understanding (MSA) Measurement System Analysis methodology will be an advantage.
