LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

Job Description

• The primary responsibility of the Laboratory Technician is to provide external and internal customer analytical requirements including maintaining conformance to analytical procedures including testing, instruments maintenance and documentation.
• The technician will be responsible to perform daily testing, laboratory support functions and assisting relevant personnel with special project as need and assigned: including the following:
• To maintain high level of quality, control and quality assurance of all analysis carried out in the laboratory
• Perform offshore/onshore related activities
• Assure data reliability to adherence through quality assurance
• Additionally provide technical support and guidance to the lab personnel
• Investigate quality incident related to the laboratory
• Responsible and accountable for all laboratory activity under the direction as well as maintain ISO 9001, 17025, internal SOP and client's work requirement relating to analysis and data generation
• Plan the schedule of maintenance and calibration of instrumentation
• Additional to this the technician must ensure compliance to all company's program, contributing to meet customer service, commitment to maintain laboratory operations, complying to QA/QC, HSE, environment and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Chemistry, Chemical or Petroleum Engineering from recognized university/college.
• 2 to 3 years or more working experience in Oil & Gas industry where applicable.
• Experience in laboratory application.
