Role Description This is a full-time, on-site conveyancing and corporate real estate lawyer role based in WP, Kuala Lumpur with minimum PQE of 2 years. The Lawyer will provide legal advice and representation in areas such as government advisory matters, corporate transactions and compliance, real estate deals, and estate planning including wills and probate. Daily responsibilities include drafting and reviewing contracts and legal documents, conducting legal research, preparing legal opinions, and managing case files. The role also involves engaging with clients to understand their needs, developing strategic solutions, and representing clients in negotiations and, where required, proceedings or hearings. The Lawyer will collaborate with colleagues to support complex matters and contribute to the firm's growth and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

  • Experience in conveyancing, real estate transactions, sub-sale, project and banking loan advice.
  • Strong legal research, drafting, and advisory skills, particularly in government, corporate, real estate, and wills & probate matters.
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues, propose practical solutions, and communicate advice clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare precise contracts, opinions, and reports.
  • Demonstrated client management skills, with the ability to build trust, maintain confidentiality, and manage expectations effectively.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple matters and deadlines responsibly.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team, as well as independently with minimal supervision.
  • Recognized law degree and admission to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction; experience in a law firm or in-house role is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with local regulations and procedures in Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia; additional exposure to cross-border or international matters is beneficial.
  • Commitment to continuous learning, professional integrity, and adherence to ethical and regulatory standards.
