Responsible for leading and governing the SAP technical landscape, ensuring system stability, security, and performance across SAP S/4HANA and integrated cloud solutions. This role covers ABAP development, SAP Basis (system administration), and SAP Security & Authorizations, while remaining hands-on for complex analysis, technical solution design, and critical issue resolution.
The role works closely with functional leads, business stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure SAP platforms are scalable, secure, and aligned with business and operational excellence objectives.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead SAP technical delivery across ABAP, Basis, and Security & Authorizations
- Ensure stability, performance, and security of SAP S/4HANA and cloud platforms (Ariba, Concur, SAC, BTP)
- Write ABAP programming (technical specs) based on functional design, testing and debugging functions related to implementation of SAP modules.
- Develop, code, document and execute unit tests, systems, integration and acceptance tests and testing tools
- Act as escalation point for complex technical and production issues
- Govern ABAP development quality, performance, and clean-core compliance
- Oversee SAP landscapes, transports, upgrades, patches, and release cycles
- Manage SAP security architecture, role design, access controls, and SoD compliance
- Oversee system monitoring, incident management, and disaster recovery readiness
- Partner with functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Govern external vendors and review technical designs and deliverables
- Drive continuous improvement, automation, and adoption of SAP best practices
Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in SAP S/4HANA technical roles (ABAP, Basis, Security, or combined).
- Proven experience in leading or mentoring SAP technical teams.

- Experience with SAP cloud solutions:

- Solid understanding of SAP integrations, APIs, and middleware concepts.
- Experience supporting audits, compliance, and SoD controls.
