Lead Blown Film Specialist

We are seeking a highly hands-on Lead Blown Film Specialist to pioneer our new, high-tech startup plant in Johor, Malaysia. This role is 80% technical and 20% team supervision. You will be the go-to expert on the floor to ensure our high-spec 7-layer co-extrusion lines (W&H tech) run at optimal efficiency.

Reporting directly to an Australian Management Team, you will serve as the Technical Anchor for the plant's high-performance film division. Your mission is to ensure operational excellence and guarantee that all output adheres to the rigorous quality benchmarks required for the Australian and global markets.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage the daily operation, parameter tuning, and troubleshooting of Multi-layer (up to 7 layers) Blown Film Extrusion machinery.
• Lead a small team of operators on the floor, focusing on waste reduction and OEE optimization.
• Perform resin blending, recipe adjustment, and die-head cleaning during product changeovers.

Requirements

• Minimum 5-8 years of solid, hands-on experience in Multi-layer Blown Film Extrusion (Experience with German machinery is highly preferred).
• Strong understanding of polymer behavior.
• Hungry for growth, comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment, and willing to be deeply hands-on on the production floor.
• Must be able to communicate technical concepts and management reports clearly in English to interface with the Australian leadership team.
• Ability to lead in a 24/7 environment.
• Proven track record of managing diverse, blue-collar workforces in a fast-paced environment.
• A pragmatic, on-the-floor leader who prioritizes technical precision and efficiency.
