About the role HCL Technologies Malaysia SDN BHD is seeking an exceptional Business Analyst to join our dynamic team in Kuala Lumpur. As a Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing business requirements, identifying opportunities for improvement, and driving technological solutions to enhance the company's operations and competitiveness. What you'll be doing • Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders, ensuring a clear understanding of the problem to be solved • Understanding of business requirements and translation into functional conception, test description and execution of system test. • Develop and document detailed business and functional requirements for IT projects involving a landscape of applications written in Java/Angular as well as Cobol applications. • Support of the departments in the functional and technical problem analysis in day-to-day business • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and project managers, to deliver solutions that meet business needs. • Identify and analyze business processes within banking and finance to recommend improvements and optimizations. • Assist in the development of project plans, timelines, and budgets for IT projects. • Monitor project progress and ensure alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements in the banking and finance industry. • Provide training and support to end-users, ensuring a smooth transition to new systems and processes • Continuously monitor and optimize IT solutions to drive ongoing improvements What we're looking for • Bachelor's or Master degree in information technology and/or other demonstrated learning path (eg. Bootcamp) can be accepted. • Minimum 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Information & Communication Technology industry • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in IT development within the banking and finance industry or ideally asset servicing. • Experience in translating business requirements into technical specifications and user stories • Knowledge of project development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) • Familiarity with technologies such as Java, COBOL, and Angular. • Knowledge in tools such as Jira, confluence, any test repository (Squash), • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between business and technology • Methodologies – Waterfall & Agile are accepted. • Proficiency of SQL is mandatory. • Experience in Market Solutions either Lending or Clearing. • Experience in Kondor or 4Sight tools. • Former experience of dev would be a PLUS. • Experience in supporting production to business users would be added advantage • Certification – ITIL is a PLUS. • Certification - CBAP, CCBA, ECBA, PMP..etc is a PLUS • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
