Role Overview

We are looking for a Lead Data Architect to drive the design, development, and optimisation of enterprise data platforms. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong expertise in data engineering, data modelling, and architecture, with a focus on leveraging AI and automation to enhance data processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute hands-on to data engineering, modelling, and architecture design
  • Design and build scalable data platforms and pipelines for analytics and regulatory reporting
  • Own data modelling standards (conceptual, logical, physical)
  • Govern cloud data platforms including security, access, and cost optimisation
  • Implement data governance, quality, and lineage frameworks
  • Drive adoption of AI, automation, and self-service data capabilities
  • Mentor engineers and promote best practices in CI/CD and data engineering

Key Requirements

  • 8–12 years of experience in data engineering / data architecture
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS (S3, Glue, Redshift, etc.) and Databricks
  • Proficient in SQL and Python (Scala is a plus)
  • Experience with Spark, Kafka, and big data ecosystems
  • Familiar with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB
  • Strong exposure to banking/fintech data and regulatory reporting
  • Experience in data governance, quality, and cloud cost optimisation (FinOps)
  • Background in CI/CD, DevOps, and Linux environments
