Role Summary
The Data Delivery Lead owns end-to-end delivery of the Azure Data Platform Modernization Program, coordinating onshore and offshore streams covering Power BI/MSAS modernization, IBM DataStage migration to Azure Synapse/ADF, ADLS Gen2 data lake implementation, and API modernization. This role is the primary point of accountability for solution architecture decisions, delivery governance, and stakeholder management with the client.
Key Responsibilities
- Own overall delivery accountability for the Azure Data Platform Modernization Program across all workstreams
- Define and govern the target-state Azure architecture spanning Synapse, ADF, ADLS Gen2, and Power BI
- Lead solution design for the IBM DataStage to Azure Synapse/ADF migration approach
- Coordinate the onshore (Malaysia) and offshore (India) delivery pods, ensuring alignment on scope, timelines, and quality
- Chair delivery governance forums, status reporting, and risk/issue management with the client stakeholders
- Review and sign off on architecture, data models, and migration runbooks produced by the Leads
- Ensure platform governance, security, and operationalization practices are embedded across all workstreams
- Act as the primary escalation point for technical and delivery risks
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Azure Solution Architecture (Synapse, ADF, ADLS Gen2)
- End-to-end Azure Data Platform solution design
- IBM DataStage (legacy ETL landscape)
- Program/delivery governance for large-scale modernization engagements
Stakeholder management with onshore/offshore delivery models
Banking/Finance Domain experience preferred
