Lead Data Scientist

As the Lead of Data Scientist, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire data infrastructure and operations within the company. You will drive data strategy, optimize data pipelines, develop analytical dashboards, and support various business teams with insights-driven decision-making. This role requires both technical expertise and strong leadership, ensuring data security, governance, and high-impact business applications of data.

Key Responsibilities

Own & manage the company's entire data infrastructure, including pipelines, storage, governance, and security.

Lead and mentor a team of 2 (Data Analyst & Data Scientist).

Design and implement data pipelines to support business intelligence and machine learning use cases.

Oversee Power BI dashboard development and ensure data visualization meets stakeholder needs.

Conduct advanced data analysis, including churn prediction, risk scoring, and member value assessments.

Collaborate with key stakeholders (Marketing, Payments, Risk, Affiliates, and CEO) to define data-driven strategies.

Provide actionable insights and recommendations to optimize business performance.

Ensure data security, privacy compliance, and governance best practices.

Drive process optimization for operational teams by leveraging data solutions.

Required Skills & QualificationsTechnical Skills:

Programming: Python, SQL, DAX

Data Visualization & BI: Power BI

Cloud & Data Engineering: AWS S3, AWS Glue, AWS Athena

Data Analysis & Modeling: Churn Analysis, User Profiling & Segmentation, Behavioral Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, Lifetime Value Analysis

Soft Skills:

Strong problem-solving mindset with persistence in tackling complex challenges.

Effective stakeholder communication, especially with Taiwan-based teams (Mandarin proficiency required).

Project management experience, leading data analysis and machine learning projects.

Ability to align business goals with data-driven strategies and advise leadership on high-impact decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in industries like online payments, eCommerce, or fintech.

Demonstrated expertise in managing end-to-end data projects with tangible business impact.
