Role Overview

We are seeking a strategic Lead ERP Functional Consultant to drive the delivery of ERP solutions. In this leadership capacity, you will guide clients through their digital transformation, mentor junior consultants, and ensure solution excellence from discovery through go-live and stabilization.

While expertise in NetSuite is an advantage, we value strong functional experience in any major ERP system (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle Fusion). We value structured problem-solving, delivery leadership, and a strong consulting mindset.

  • Strategic Advisory, Discovery & Solution Design
  • Lead discovery workshops to map business needs into scalable ERP solutions.
  • Conduct process walkthroughs / CRP sessions to validate solution direction with stakeholders and ensure alignment to business goals.
  • Perform Gap-Fit analysis to balance standard ERP capabilities with necessary customisations and integrations.
  • Translate business requirements into clear, practical solution designs that can be executed by functional and technical teams.
  • Own the documentation lifecycle and quality of key deliverables (e.g., BRD, FDD, Solution Blueprint, functional specifications) to support stakeholder clarity and sign-off.
  • Lead configuration workshops and oversee system setup across modules to ensure the solution is workable, consistent, and aligned to target processes.
  • Collaborate with Technical Consultants to ensure scripts, workflows, reports, and integrations meet functional intent and governance expectations.
  • Ensure traceability across requirements, design decisions, configuration, and delivered outcomes.
  • Define testing strategy and governance, including UAT scenarios, defect triage, prioritisation, resolution protocols, and closure discipline.
  • Drive end-to-end testing execution (SIT/UAT) and ensure issues are tracked, resolved, and communicated clearly.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level consultants, delegate effectively, and uplift delivery standards through coaching and structured review.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for functional issues; manage stakeholder expectations, delivery risks, and project trade-offs.
  • Guide clients on data migration approach, including data cleansing, mapping, validation, and reconciliation of master and transactional data.
  • Lead cutover planning and go-live readiness activities, ensuring clear roles, checklists, and contingency plans.
  • Provide hypercare support post go-live to stabilise operations and drive user adoption.

Requirements

Experience & ERP Delivery Capability

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of functional consulting experience, or proven track record of successfully leading at least 2 full-lifecycle ERP implementations, specifically within multi-module or multi-entity environments.
  • Proven ability to lead functional workstreams across requirements, solutioning, configuration, testing, cutover, and go-live support.
  • Strong grasp of core business processes including (but not limited to) Finance/Accounting, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, and Procurement.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and mentor junior staff.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including handling escalations and managing expectations across business and technical audiences.

Communication & Working Style

  • Strong command of English (written and spoken); able to explain functional concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and structured documentation discipline.
  • Able to work effectively in hybrid delivery setups and manage priorities across multiple workstreams.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Accounting, Business, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related fields.

Preferred

  • Hands-on experience in NetSuite or any Tier 1/Tier 2 ERP (SAP, Microsoft D365, Oracle Fusion, etc.).
  • Experience with integrations, reporting, workflows, and cross-system process design.
  • ERP certifications or relevant professional certifications.
  • Exposure to multi-country, multi-subsidiary, or multi-entity operating models.
