What we're looking for
LEAD FINANCE ACCOUNTANT, JAPAC
In this role, you will be expected to balance hands-on financial execution with strategic financial leadership. You will ensure the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of all financial operations while driving process improvements and maintaining strong financial controls.
You will also serve as a key business partner—someone who goes beyond the numbers to deliver meaningful insights, guide decision-making, and contribute to the organization's growth and long-term sustainability.
Responsibilities
Accounting & Reporting
- Maintain the General Ledger in accordance with IFRS and GAAP, including preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and executing monthly close activities.
- Prepare monthly financial statements (P/L, balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow) along with detailed variance analyses.
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and vendor payments.
- Prepare and issue customer invoices, monitor billing discrepancies, and coordinate with internal teams to resolve any issues.
- Oversee cash flow forecasting, reporting, and working capital management to support operational and financial planning.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance in tax filings, statutory reporting, and audit requirements.
Leadership & Process Management
- Co-lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, providing training, and development support.
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with SNP's global policies.
- Collaborate with regional finance teams as well as group finance and controlling to maintain reporting consistency and alignment with global standards.
- Recommend and implement internal controls, process enhancements, and automation initiatives to improve efficiency and strengthen financial integrity.
Business & Regional Support
- Support financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting activities.
- Manage project settlement, closure, and sales commission calculations.
- Handle financial operations across the JAPAC region, ensuring compliance with local regulations and group standards.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and government authorities when required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the line manager.
Qualifications
We're seeking someone who:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or MIA are preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience working across Asia-Pacific markets will be highly beneficial.
- Prior experience with SAP systems is highly advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and financial reporting tools.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations.
