Hyatt Place Kuala Lumpur, Bukit Jalil - marks the first Hyatt Place hotel in Malaysia. Located in Bukit Jalil, an affluent suburb located within the southern corridor of Kuala Lumpur, the hotel features 250 guestrooms, a three-meal restaurant, large Ballroom, 4 meeting rooms and flexible event space, Rooftop restaurant, a fitness centre, and a sky pool.

We are currently looking for a Lead Host - Safety & Security to join us as we continue to embark this exciting journey with the hotel. This position reports to the hotel Maintenance & Security Manager.Due to work permit restrictions, this position is only open for Malaysian Citizen and Permanent Resident of Malaysia.

Customer Service

Provides a courteous and professional service at all times.

Handles guest and associate enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, reporting complaints or problems if no immediate solution can be found, whilst providing a prompt follow-up.

Assists with Host duties as requested and required due to operational needs.

Maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.

Operational

Through hands-on management, supervises closely all Hosts in the performance of their duties in accordance with Hotel Policies & Procedures and applicable laws.

Works in a supportive and flexible manner with other departments, in a spirit of We work through Teams.

Ensures the Hosts are at areas of their assignment at all times.

Ensures patrols are carried out throughout the hotel and plant rooms and all other areas of the hotel, ensuring safety, security and comfort of all guests and hotel personnel.Ensures that all Hosts look out for any suspicious loiterers or articles and maintenance issues.

Patrols public areas to detect fires, unsafe conditions, and missing or inoperative safety equipment and maintenance issues.

Ensures the smooth running of all operational procedures within the department and in-relation to other departments.

Conducts enquiries and checks on all security and fire related incidents and submit initial reports.

Conducts daily briefing during each shift on the hotel's activities/functions of the day to the Hosts and other hotel personnel.

Assists/Organises the Security Fire Fighting Team in the event of an emergency and conducts a fire drill every quarter.

Ensures all Fire Exits are clear from obstruction and in working order at all times.

Assists management and Official Emergency Personnel in emergency situations.

Assists in the investigation of any accidents and security incidents involving hotel guest and associates.

Questions any suspicious character in a polite manner Refuses entry if the subject is not able to provide reasonable reply Requests for assistance immediately if the situation arises.

Coordinates and inspects Contractor's for work performed and safety and security systems in place.

Assists in associate bag checks and periodic locker searches and ensures that they are carried out according to the hotel's Policy and Procedure.

Monitors and controls the movement of all associates leaving and entering the hotel through the associate entrance.
