Job Description

Job Purpose:

The QA/QC Lead oversees all quality assurance and quality control activities across engineering, procurement, construction, fabrication, and commissioning phases. The role ensures full compliance with project specifications, industry standards (ASME, API, ISO), and regulatory requirements while driving a strong quality culture across contractors and project teams.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead development and implementation of the Project Quality Plan, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and QA/QC procedures.
  • Oversee quality control activities for welding, NDT, coating, materials, fabrication, and installation works.
  • Ensure compliance with ASME, API, AWS, ISO 9001, DOSH and relevant specifications.
  • Manage vendor qualification, factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), and material certification.
  • Conduct audits on contractors, suppliers, and fabrication yards; drive corrective and preventive actions.
  • Review engineering deliverables for quality compliance and constructability.
  • Lead site QA/QC teams and coordinate with Construction, Engineering, HSE, and Project Management.
  • Maintain NCR, CAR, and quality performance reporting; ensure timely closure of quality issues.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field.

Experience:


  • 8–12 years QA/QC experience in Oil & Gas projects (pipeline, facilities, plant, offshore, or fabrication).
  • Strong knowledge of welding, NDT, materials, and construction quality requirements.
  • Certifications preferred: CSWIP 3.1/3.2, AWS-CWI, API 570/510/653, NACE/AMPP, SO 9001 Lead Auditor.
  • Experience managing QA/QC teams and interfacing with clients, contractors, and regulators.
  • Strong documentation, audit, and reporting skills.
