Role Purpose(s)
We are looking for a visionary Senior Technical Lead with over 10 years of experience to spearhead our technical strategy and architectural evolution. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex business requirements and cutting-edge technical solutions, acting as both a hands-on expert and a strategic advisor.
Key Accountabilities
- Technology Evaluation: Assess and select emerging technologies, frameworks, and tools that align with our long-term business goals.
- Proof of Concept (PoC): Lead the hands-on execution of PoCs to validate new technologies, architectures, and development practices.
- Architectural Design: Design robust, scalable solutions based on specific business requirements and technical constraints, ensuring high performance and security.
- Strategic Leadership: Guide the engineering team through technical transitions and mentor developers in modern best practices.
Job Responsibilities & Duties
- Partner with product and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into secure, scalable solution designs and delivery plans.
- Own end-to-end architecture for full-stack systems (Java/Spring Boot backend and React.js frontend), ensuring maintainability, performance, and reliability.
- Evaluate new frameworks, platforms, and tools; lead hands-on PoCs and make data-driven recommendations for adoption.
- Design and implement cloud-native, microservices-based solutions using containers (Docker) and Kubernetes, applying modern reliability patterns.
- Drive DevSecOps practices: design, set up, and automate secure CI/CD pipelines with integrated testing, security scanning, and compliance controls.
- Lead multi-cloud engineering and operational readiness across AWS and Azure, including deployment strategies, observability, and cost/performance optimisation.
- Establish and enforce engineering standards (coding, testing, documentation, API design) and ensure consistent adoption across teams.
- Mentor and coach engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and AI-assisted development efficiency.
- Champion AI-driven development (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) by defining usage guidelines, review practices, and quality guardrails.

Education Requirements
- Preferred Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field.
Working Experience Requirements
- 10+ years of experience delivering enterprise-grade software at scale.
- Demonstrated experience leading high-performing engineering teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Proven ability to act as both a hands-on technical expert and a strategic advisor through major technology transitions.
Skills Required

- Full-stack mastery: deep development experience in Java (Spring Boot) and React.js across the application lifecycle.
- DevSecOps expertise: ability to design, set up, and automate secure CI/CD environments.
- Cloud-native design: Kubernetes, containerisation (Docker), and Microservices architecture.
- Multi-cloud proficiency with hands-on experience in AWS and Azure.
- AI-driven development: master-level proficiency using AI coding agents (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to accelerate development and improve code quality.
Preferable skills
- Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
- Professional recognition in DevSecOps or cloud security (e.g., CASE, CSSLP).
- Track record of leading engineering teams through modernisation and architectural evolution.
