Role Description
This is a
full-time on-site role for a Lecturer in Music (popular music) located in WP. Kuala Lumpur. The Lecturer in Music will be responsible for teaching Foundation, Diploma and/or Bachelor level students, developing and delivering course content, conducting assessments, and providing academic guidance and mentorship. The role also includes involvement in research activities, contributing to the University's research output, and collaborating with industry partners to enhance the learning experience. The Lecturer will also participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and continuous professional development activities.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Music Theory, Music Performance, Music History and/or Music Technology.
- Experience in Curriculum Development and Teaching Methodologies
- Strong Research Skills and Experience in Academic Publishing
- Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills
- Ability to Collaborate with Industry Partners and Engage in Professional Networking
- PhD in Music or a related field is preferred, but a Master's degree would be considered
- Previous University-level Teaching Experience is beneficial
- Commitment to Continuous Professional Development and Lifelong Learning
