Lecturer

The Lecturer role at MTTC College is a full-time, on-site position based in Iskandar Puteri, Johor or Petaling Jaya, Selangor. The Lecturer will plan, prepare, and deliver lessons for TVET and Built Environment-related programs, ensuring teaching content is aligned with curriculum standards and industry requirements. Daily responsibilities include facilitating practical and theoretical classes, guiding students through project work and assessments, and providing academic advising and mentoring. The Lecturer will contribute to curriculum enhancement, participate in academic meetings and quality assurance activities, and maintain accurate records of student performance. Additional responsibilities may include collaborating with industry partners, supporting accreditation or certification initiatives, and participating in college events, outreach, and professional development activities.

Qualifications

• Relevant academic qualification in Architecture, Engineering, Design, BIM, Technical/Vocational Education, or a related field.
• Professional or teaching experience in TVET, Built Environment, BIM, architectural draughting, modelling, or design-related disciplines (Minimum 5 years experience).
• Strong instructional, facilitation, and classroom management skills, with the ability to teach both practical and theoretical content.
• Proficiency with industry-standard software and tools (e.g., Autodesk applications, BIM platforms, design/visualization tools) is highly beneficial.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to present complex concepts clearly and accessibly to diverse learners.
• Commitment to student-centered learning, inclusive teaching practices, and continuous improvement in pedagogy and assessment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, industry partners, and external agencies, and to contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance.
• Willingness to engage in professional development and stay current with industry trends, standards, and emerging technologies.
