Lecturer (Cinematography) Requirement Profile

Academic Qualification:

Minimum: Master's degree in Cinematography, Film Production, or a closely related field from a recognized institution.

Preferred: PhD in Cinematography, Film Production, or related discipline.

Professional & Creative Practice:

Demonstrated expertise in cinematography with an extensive practice-based portfolio, including notable projects in film, television, or digital media.

Evidence of sustained professional practice and recognition within the industry, with the ability to translate real-world experience into teaching and mentorship.

Research & Publications:

Minimum of 2 Scopus-indexed publications (or equivalent peer-reviewed outputs).

Strong potential or proven record of practice-based research integrated with academic scholarship.

Teaching & Academic Experience:

Minimum of 5 years teaching experience in higher education, preferably at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.

Experience in curriculum development, supervision of student projects, and integration of theory with practice.

Technical & Administrative Responsibilities:

Serve as FCA Equipment Depot Lead, overseeing day-to-day operations of equipment usage, maintenance, and inventory.

Manage and advise on equipment purchase and upgrade plans, ensuring alignment with industry trends, academic needs, and budget compliance.

Provide training and guidance to students and staff on technical equipment handling and best practices.
