Provide strategic legal and advisory support to HNW/UHNW clients on wealth preservation, succession planning, asset protection, and estate planning structures.
Design, structure, and implement tailored trust, wealth preservation, and asset protection solutions in alignment with clients objectives.
Advise clients on family governance frameworks, business succession planning, and intergenerational wealth transfer strategies.
Ensure compliance with relevant offshore regulatory requirements, including AML/CFT, FATCA, CRS, economic substance, and beneficial ownership regulations.
Collaborate with external stakeholders, including bankers, tax advisers, financial institutions, and professional advisers to deliver comprehensive client solutions.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, intermediaries, and strategic partners to support business growth initiatives.
Identify and develop new business opportunities through networking, referrals, professional partnerships, and market engagement.
Support client onboarding processes, including understanding client needs, conducting due diligence, and ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements:
LL.B qualification and admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya.
8 to 10 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) in estate planning, private client practice, trusts, conveyancing, banking & finance, or related legal fields.
Strong knowledge of Malaysian laws and practices relating to estate planning, trusts, wealth advisory, probate, succession planning, conveyancing, and banking & finance.
Familiarity with international taxation laws and trust laws in other jurisdictions will be an added advantage.
Excellent legal drafting, communication, stakeholder management, and client advisory skills.
Proactive, commercially driven, and able to manage sensitive and confidential matters with the highest level of professionalism and discretion.
Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and professional partners.
