Acclime, a premier corporate services and professional services firm with regional presence in Asia Pacific is looking for an Associate to support its significant growth in business and expansion in its legal department. This role will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the acquisition, financing or fund-raising exercise of Acclime from inception until closing (i.e. evaluation of transaction structure, research on transactional matters, CP fulfilment, completion checklist, drafting of completion deliverables, liaising and coordinating with the external lawyers).
- Assist with the drafting, reviewing and negotiation of commercial contract, agreement and documents, policies, procedures and participate in the negotiations thereof.
- Assist in maintaining group legal governance and documentation standards, including document control for transaction and advisory matters.
- Support the Legal Counsel in all matters concerning the group legal department (i.e. contract administration, records keeping, documentation filing).
- Assist the Legal Counsel in providing legal advice, evaluate and advise on the legal risk associated the business activities of Acclime Group and operational matters including commercial agreements, employment law, compliance.
- Responsible for the maintenance and management of the company's trademark and other intellectual property matters, including renewals, filings, and coordination with external IP agents.
- Assist the Legal Counsel in handling and monitoring the group's litigation / disputes.
Key Requirements:
- Candidate must possess LLB degree.
- 4 to 6 years PQE in law firm or in-house in corporate fraternity with experience in M&A, banking & finance or debt/equity capital market.
- Experience in legal advisory, agreement drafting and reviewing and legal research.
- Oral and written proficiency in English and Mandarin.
- Meticulous in works with good time management, and willing to work under fast-paced environment.
- Team player with immaculate communication and interpersonal skills.
- Resourceful and ability to work independently
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Able to commence work in April 2026.
