  • Draft, proofread, and format complex legal documents including motions, notices, affidavits, correspondence, declarations, and filing templates.
  • Prepare jurisdiction-specific legal forms with high accuracy and compliance.
  • Translate legal instructions, attorney markup, or case updates into clean, error-free drafts.
  • Maintain consistent document structure, tone, and compliance standards.
  • Ensure all documents meet U.S. court formatting rules (training provided).

1. Case File Support & Data Management

  • Organize supporting documents and ensure accuracy of case information in various legal systems.
  • Review case updates and translate required actions into accurate legal drafts.
  • Upload, update, and maintain case records and tracking sheets in assigned systems.

2. Workflow Management & Quality Control

  • Perform high-accuracy QC on drafted documents before submission.
  • Flag any discrepancies, incomplete information, or procedural issues.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure data integrity across all deliverables.

4. Communication & Collaboration

  • Liaise effectively with U.S. attorneys, paralegals, and supervisors during night-shift windows.
  • Interpret instructions received via email, case notes, task queues, or direct requests.
  • Provide timely updates on workload, drafts, and pending items.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Mandatory

  • Strong experience in legal drafting (minimum 23 years preferred).
  • Excellent written English with the ability to draft professional legal correspondence.
  • Experience as a Legal Secretary, Paralegal, Legal Executive, Documentation Specialist, or similar.
  • High attention to detail, strong grammar skills, and ability to follow templates.
  • Ability to work full night shift (U.S. time zone alignment).
  • Comfortable navigating multiple case systems and document platforms (training provided).

Preferred

  • Experience in litigation, foreclosure, bankruptcy, conveyancing, or corporate drafting.
  • Familiarity with legal formatting rules (line spacing, citations, page formatting, exhibits).
  • Exposure to U.S. legal processes (advantage but not required).

Competencies

  • Strong analytical and interpretation skills.
  • High accuracy and zero-error mindset.
  • Ability to handle time-sensitive tasks.
  • Professional communication with cross-border teams.
  • Ability to absorb legal rules and apply them consistently.

Education

  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB), Diploma in Law, or equivalent legal qualification preferred.
  • Candidates with strong drafting experience but without formal legal education may also be considered.
