A commodities MNC is looking for a Legal Counsel to join their regional Singapore office.

Your new role

This role is responsible for providing legal support across the business. The incumbent will advise on a broad range of commercial and transactional matters, including the drafting, review and negotiation of transaction documents such as term sheets and sale and purchase agreements, while ensuring legal risks are appropriately managed throughout the transaction life cycle. The role also supports internal approval processes and works closely with business stakeholders to provide practical, commercially focused legal advice. In addition, the position plays a key role in supporting the organisation's compliance, risk management and corporate governance framework. Responsibilities include overseeing regulatory filings, permits and corporate secretarial matters, conducting legal research and monitoring regulatory developments, as well as supporting governance and compliance initiatives across MAP and its group companies. The incumbent will also manage relationships with external legal counsel, ensuring high-quality and cost-effective legal support across multiple jurisdictions, while partnering closely with stakeholders across business and corporate functions. The role further supports divisional legal reporting and regional legal coordination efforts across AP offices, contributing to the effective delivery of legal services and alignment of legal initiatives across the organisation.

What you'll need to succeed

You will require at least 5 to 8 years of PRE, and M&A experience will be a plus. Strong experience managing various stakeholders and regional experience will be a plus.
