Legal Counsel, Financial Services MNC

We're looking for Banking & Finance lawyers (25 PQE) to join a leading global financial institution's Malaysian office.

This role offers exposure to complex, cross-border financing matters and the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders across the business in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Advising on a broad range of banking & finance transactions and related regulatory matters
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating finance and related commercial documentation
• Conducting internal reviews of loan documentation and NDAs
• Supporting regional and cross-border transactions across APAC
• Partnering closely with business, risk, and compliance teams on structuring and regulatory issues.

Requirements

• 25 PQE in Banking & Finance (law firm and/or in-house)
• Based in Malaysia
• Strong technical foundation with a commercial mindset
• Experience working in or with financial institutions is advantageous
• Comfortable operating in a regional, stakeholder-facing role
• Must be available to work from the KL office
