Detail Function / Responsibilities
Reporting to the Group General Counsel you will be responsible to provide critical support on in-house legal services to the Management, Functions and Business Units throughout IHH Group.
Key Accountabilities:
Provide comprehensive legal support for the following areas:
- Mergers & Acquisitions
- Joint Ventures
- IP/IT Contracts and Projects
- Review of Vendor, Service Provider and B2B Contracts
- General Corporate/Commercial Transactions
- Dispute Resolution Management/Litigation
- Operational and non-operational contracts for the Group
- Work closely with the Management/ Business Units in IHH Group to provide full legal support for all transactions and matters and to achieve the commercial objectives of the business in a legally compliant manner, taking into account the risks involved and with appropriate risk mitigation.
- Advise on regulatory and legal issues generally.
- Liaison between internal stakeholders and external counsel in relation to external legal advice and its interpretation and management of legal costs.
- Stay up to date on relevant legal and regulatory developments/changes.
Competencies/Requirements
- Recognized law degree from a reputable university
- Licensed to practice law in at least one major legal jurisdiction
- Excellent track record as in-house legal counsel and/or in private practice
- Possess more than 12 years of post-qualification experience either as in-house legal counsel or in law firms
- Must have strong technical experience in corporate matters and merger/acquisition/ conducting due diligence exercise for corporate exercise
- Working experience in legal firm as a qualified lawyer or legal practitioners with cross-border experience would be an added advantage
