Legal Counsel

Key Responsibilities

:

1. Provide legal advice and practical solutions to support business operations, projects and growth.
2. Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts, including EPC, construction, procurement, supply, service and consultancy agreements.
3. Conduct legal and contractual risk assessments and recommend practical risk mitigation measures.
4. Support contract management, tenders and project execution.
5. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, company policies and corporate governance requirements.
6. Manage litigation, disputes and external legal counsel.
7. Support corporate, company secretarial, compliance, data privacy and intellectual property matter where required.
8. Develop and deliver legal and compliance training, policies and procedures to enhance legal awareness and risk management.
9. Support legal initiatives, process improvements and other assignments as required.

Requirements

:

Mandatory

1. Bachelor's Degree in Law or equivalent.
2. Minimum 3 years experience as an in-house Legal Counsel.
3. Strong commercial contract drafting and review experience.
4. Able to identify business and contractual risks.
5. Excellent written and spoken English.
6. Comfortable working with business teams and regional stakeholders.

Preferred

Experience in:

1. Private practice.
2. Energy, Construction, EPC or Water industry.
3. Commercial contracts, tenders, corporate governance, compliance and data privacy.
4. Conducting trainings and awareness programs.
5. MNC environments, or as a lawyer from a top-tier local or international law firm.
6. M&A/integration projects, project management, or regulatory compliance.
