Summary

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Legal Manager to lead key legal functions spanning financing documentation, product development, compliance, and process optimisation. In this role, you will help ensure our legal operations run seamlessly while enabling CapBay's continued innovation and growth. Responsibilities

As our Legal Manager, you will play a key role in supporting CapBay's financing business, product development, and overall business growth—ensuring our legal framework remains a strong enabler as we scale.

• Lead and oversee all financing documentation, including facility agreements, security documents, and letters of offer, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
• Drive legal process improvements, automation, and standardization to enhance efficiency and mitigate risk.
• Ensure perfection of securities and compliance with regulatory requirements, including registration with CCM and coordination with panel lawyers.
• Provide strategic legal support for product development, structuring financial products, reviewing contracts, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Mentor and guide the legal team, building capabilities and ensuring consistent, high-quality legal advice.

Requirements:

We are looking for someone who has:

• A Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from a recognized university and is admitted to the Malaysian Bar.
• At least 5 years of post-qualification experience, with strong knowledge in financing documentation, corporate and commercial law, and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience in managing legal teams and mentoring junior staff.
• Excellent drafting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• A practical, business-oriented mindset with the ability to balance legal risks with commercial goals.
