Job Description

We are actively seeking an experienced Legal Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate, currently excelling in a legal firm or property development company, gets an exciting opportunity to transition from a law firm or corporate practice into a dynamic in-house environment where your expertise directly shapes business outcomes.

What You&aposll Do:

  • Independently handle all legal matters and provide legal support to the business. Manage legal risks in transactions, including day-to-day contract review, advisory work, dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare and review legal documentation for property development and investment activities. This covers land acquisition and disposal, joint ventures, appointment of estate agents, consultants, contractors, and service providers, project construction and launches, sales and purchase, leasing transactions, and post-development matters for the Group.
  • Manage and liaise with stakeholders, external parties, external counsel, regulators, and authorities.
  • Represent the company in litigation, tribunal hearings, and other legal proceedings.
  • Monitor changes to laws and regulations relevant to the property industry. Highlight their impact on the companys business and provide timely advice to management.
  • Assist the Head of Compliance in developing, reviewing, and implementing compliance policies, procedures, programmes, and internal controls. Where required, prepare and table compliance reports to the Board.
  • Develop and maintain an updated depository of contract templates to improve efficiency and consistency across the Group.
  • Perform other ad-hoc legal and compliance duties as assigned.

Who We&aposre Looking For:

  • Degree in Law from a recognized university.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in a law firm or corporate legal role.
  • Strong background in construction, conveyancing, litigation, or corporate law.
  • Excellent analytical, drafting, and problem-solving skills.
  • High integrity, resourcefulness, and ability to work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset
