JOB DESCRIPTION
Legal Advisory
1) Legislative Analysis & Review
- Identify new laws or amendments to the existing law that are relevant to EPF and conduct legal analysis on potential risks, compliance requirements and legal implications to EPF.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws and regulatory requirements in various jurisdictions that might impact EPF's interests
2) Interpretation of Laws and Regulations
- Provide clear and accurate legal analysis or conduct statutory review of relevant Acts, Rules, and Regulations that impact EPF's enterprise-level activities including Data Protection and Privacy Laws, Competition Law, Anti-Money Laundering Act (AMLA) and Cybersecurity Regulations
3) Internal Policy Advisory
- Conduct review on EPF's internal governance documents, such as policies, operation manuals or guidelines to ensure alignment with applicable laws
Legal Documentation
1) Document Review and Drafting
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documentation and correspondence, including ancillary contractual instruments such as data sharing agreements, MOUs, NDAs, letters, emails, legal notices etc.
2) Stakeholder Engagement
- Coordinate regulatory consultation including attending meetings, engagements or discussion with working groups and relevant stakeholders
- Conduct legal training and provide legal awareness for internal and external stakeholders including preparing training materials
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Malaysian citizen
- Obtain at least a credit in Malay Language and English including oral test at Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level or equivalent as recognized by theGovernment
- Possess a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) (LLB) or equivalent LLB qualifications from any local or overseas higher learning institutions recognised by the Government of Malaysia
- Have at least 4 to 7 years experience in the relevant job description set out above
- Candidates with expertise and experience in the relevant job description set out herein, is an added advantage
- Good communication and presentation skills with excellent command of oral and writing in English and Bahasa Melayu
- Highly motivated and able to work under minimal supervision
- Able to work independently and as part of/in a team and committed to work under tight deadline
- Meticulous and attention to details
