Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled Level 2 Support Engineer to provide advanced support for our Microsoft 365 environment, server infrastructure, and network systems. You will serve as a key escalation point for complex incidents, ensuring stability, security, and performance across our IT ecosystem.
This role is ideal for an IT professional with hands-on experience in enterprise environments who thrives on solving technical challenges and improving system reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Microsoft 365 (O365) Support:
- Manage and troubleshoot Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Intune, and Azure AD.
- Handle user lifecycle management (onboarding/offboarding), license allocation, and access controls.
- Diagnose and resolve authentication, email routing, MFA, and compliance-related issues.
- Support conditional access policies and endpoint management via Microsoft Intune.
Server & Infrastructure Support:
- Administer Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Linux systems (if applicable).
- Maintain Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file services, and backup systems.
- Perform routine health checks, patching, and performance optimization.
- Assist in virtualization environments (VMware or Hyper-V).
Network Support:
- Troubleshoot LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, switches, routers, and firewall configurations.
- Monitor network uptime and performance using tools (e.g., PRTG, SolarWinds, or similar).
- Collaborate with ISP or security teams on connectivity and performance issues.
- Update and maintain network documentation and topology diagrams.
General:
- Resolve escalated tickets from Level 1 support within SLA.
- Document root causes, resolutions, and preventive measures in the knowledge base.
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours critical issues (if applicable).
- Contribute to infrastructure improvement projects and security hardening initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
- 24 years of hands-on IT support experience in a business or enterprise setting.
- Proven experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Azure Active Directory.
- Solid understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, and core networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls).
- Ability to use command-line tools, PowerShell, and diagnostic utilities.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills.
- Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, CompTIA Network+, or CCNA).
Preferred:
- Scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash) for automation.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
- Experience with backup solutions (e.g., Veeam, Altaro).
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing systems (e.g., Jira Service Desk, Zendesk, ConnectWise).
