Role Description This is a full-time Life Insurance Agent role based in Cheras with a hybrid work arrangement, combining in-office and work-from-home flexibility. The Life Insurance Agent will identify and approach potential clients, assess their financial protection needs, and recommend appropriate life, health, and savings products. Daily tasks include conducting client meetings, preparing personalized insurance proposals, and explaining policy terms in clear, accessible language. The role also involves managing policy applications and documentation, coordinating with underwriting and support teams, and ensuring timely follow-up on leads and renewals. The agent will maintain long-term client relationships, provide ongoing service and policy reviews, and participate in training, sales meetings, and compliance activities to stay current with AIA's products and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Insurance Sales and Insurance Brokerage, including prospecting, needs analysis, and closing policies in a compliant and ethical manner.
  • Strong understanding of Insurance products and principles, with the ability to explain coverage options and benefits clearly to diverse clients.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Finance, including personal financial planning concepts relevant to protection, savings, and retirement.
  • Excellent Customer Service skills, with a focus on relationship building, responsiveness, and long-term client retention.
  • Relevant professional certifications or licenses in insurance (or willingness to obtain them within a defined timeframe).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to conduct face-to-face and virtual consultations in a professional manner.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working in a performance-driven environment with sales targets.
  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field is an advantage; prior experience in financial services or sales is preferred.
