Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Life Planner role based in Sungai Petani. The Life Planner will engage with individuals and families to understand their financial protection and savings needs, and recommend suitable life, health, and savings solutions. Responsibilities include conducting client consultations, preparing personalized financial and insurance proposals, and providing ongoing policy reviews to support clients evolving goals. The role involves building and maintaining long-term client relationships, achieving agreed sales and service targets, and maintaining accurate documentation and records in line with regulatory and company standards. The Life Planner will also participate in training, business development activities, and community or marketing events to expand their client network and stay current with AIA products and industry developments.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Insurance and General Insurance, with the ability to explain protection and savings solutions in clear, accessible terms.
  • Proven Sales skills, including prospecting, needs-based selling, and closing, with a focus on ethical and client-centered practices.
  • Marketing capabilities, including basic knowledge of digital or community-based marketing to build brand presence and client pipelines.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work with diverse clients and colleagues.
  • Goal-oriented mindset, resilience, and the ability to work independently while meeting performance targets in a structured environment.
  • Minimum diploma or bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field is preferred; relevant industry certifications are an advantage.
  • Comfort with using digital tools and CRM systems for client management, reporting, and product presentations.
  • Fluency in English and local languages commonly used in Sungai Petani; additional language skills are an advantage.
