Role Description As a Life Planner at AIA, you will help individuals and families identify their protection and savings needs, and recommend suitable life, health, and savings solutions. You will conduct consultations, perform financial needs analysis, and develop personalized plans that support clients long-term goals. On a daily basis, you will build and maintain client relationships, follow up on policy servicing, and support claims processes to deliver a positive customer experience. You will also participate in sales and marketing activities, attend training sessions, and stay current on AIA products, regulatory requirements, and industry trends. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Kota Kinabalu, with a combination of in-office client meetings and some work-from-home flexibility.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in insurance concepts, including life and general insurance, with the ability to explain products clearly and responsibly.
  • Demonstrated skills in sales and client relationship management, including prospecting, needs analysis, and closing in an ethical and customer-centric manner.
  • Experience or interest in marketing, with the ability to promote financial solutions through digital and in-person channels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and empathetic approach to diverse clients.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working in a performance-driven environment with coaching and support.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid setting in Kota Kinabalu, managing time effectively between in-office and remote work.
  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field is an advantage; relevant industry certifications are a plus.
  • Fluency in English and local languages is preferred, along with basic digital literacy (e.g., CRM tools, online meeting platforms).
